The first rule is to check that the tradesperson or company is reliable. To do this, you can visit the Infogreffe website. By entering the company’s details, you can verify its address and, more importantly, confirm that its registered business activity matches the work you wish to entrust to them.

Understanding the quote: a mutual commitment

A quote is not just a rough estimate of the price; it is a contract that binds both you and the tradesperson. It is therefore crucial to check that all the promises or technical details discussed verbally are set out in writing in the final document.

Signing a contract commits you to paying for the service; it is advisable to obtain several quotes so that you can compare them objectively. Please note, however, that depending on the terms of the contract, you may have a 14-day right of withdrawal.
