IMA Protect takes over the activities of its Nantes-based counterpart EXCELIUM and creates IMA Protect Solutions, dedicated to corporate security.

IMA Protect, a subsidiary of the IMA Group specializing in property and personal security, announces the acquisition of all of EXCELIUM's security activities.

Officially approved on December 19, 2025 by the Nantes Commercial Court, this takeover will protect jobs, with nearly 80% of EXCELIUM's workforce being integrated into a new dedicated entity, IMA Protect Solutions, which offers B2B services to businesses.

This operation is central to the strategic development of the IMA Group, which aims to accelerate its growth trajectory in the remote surveillance market and strengthen IMA Protect's position among the leading operators in the sector in the long term.

IMA Protect and EXCELIUM share the same vision of the security business: an unwavering presence that reassures, protects, and supports, whatever the circumstances. The creation of IMA Protect Solutions is fully in line with IMA Protect's development trajectory, with the ambition of doubling our number of clients and our turnover, and recruiting 200 new employees by 2030.

Remote surveillance, provided by IMA Protect, is a strategic growth driver for the IMA Group. The takeover of EXCELIUM's activities is part of this dynamic: it strengthens our ability to develop reliable, humane, and responsible security solutions for both individuals and professionals.

A recovery based on a shared vision of the security industry

This takeover is based on a strong convergence of values and professional cultures between IMA Protect and EXCELIUM. As long-standing players in the security sector, the two companies have been collaborating for over 20 years in the field of remote surveillance and share common commitments within professional bodies.
The takeover of EXCELIUM's activities by IMA Protect is part of a strategy to ensure continuity of service, preserving the security of nearly 4,000 customers and maintaining all remote surveillance systems 24/7 throughout France.

In this operation, IMA Protect is placing a strong emphasis on business continuity and protecting local jobs. 80% of EXCELIUM's workforce will be retained. The working conditions of the teams taken over are thus maintained, as are the skills, know-how, and regulatory approvals (CNAPS, APSAD certifications) that ensure the quality and credibility of private security services.
