IMA Ibérica is strengthening its anti-fraud strategy by joining the Asociación Española de Empresas contra el Fraude
IMA Ibérica is strengthening its commitment to fraud prevention and detection by joining the "Asociación Española de Empresas contra el Fraude (AEECF)."
Fraud has become one of the main challenges facing businesses, regardless of their sector. The acceleration of digitalisation, the rise in online transactions and the sophistication of the methods used by fraudsters have created a more vulnerable and complex environment for all types of organisations. Against this backdrop, IMA Ibérica Asistencia has announced its membership of l’Asociación Española de Empresas contra el Fraude (AEECF), an initiative that encourages cross-sector collaboration to tackle a problem that now affects the entire business community.
Document forgery, inconsistencies or false statements: fraud is taking on increasingly varied and complex forms
In recent years, corporate fraud has seen steady growth, fuelled by the expansion of digital channels and the ease with which information, identities or documents can be manipulated. IMA Ibérica is a clear example of this trend: in 2025, confirmed fraud within the company exceeded €450,000; and in less than a quarter of 2026, this figure is already on the verge of being matched, reflecting an acceleration that many companies in Spain are also experiencing.
« Fraud is no longer a challenge unique to the insurance sector. From e-commerce and banking to logistics and services, all businesses are exposed to fraudulent practices that are constantly evolving. That is why collaboration and knowledge-sharing are essential ».
How IMA Ibérica combats insurance fraud through a specialist service and its membership of the AEECF
To address this situation, IMA Ibérica has adopted a proactive approach. In January 2025, it strengthened its structure by creating a department specialising in prevention and document analysis, with the aim of enhancing its capacity for detection, anticipation and control in a context of increasing digital transactions. Its membership of the AEECF now marks a new stage in this strategy, focusing on inter-company cooperation as a key tool for curbing this phenomenon.
IMA Ibérica emphasises that only cooperation between organisations and the professionalisation of control functions will make it possible to reduce the economic and operational impact of fraud in Spain, a problem that affects margins, reputation and efficiency across increasingly diverse sectors.
