IMA Italia Assistance reported 31% growth and closed out 2025 with revenue of €116 million
Operational efficiency and the expansion of the Travel offering are driving the Group’s growth in Italy
IMA Italia Assistance closed the 2025 fiscal year with revenue of over 116 million euros, marking a 31% increase compared to the previous year. IMA Italia Assistance reaffirms its role as a strategic player in the assistance, mobility, travel insurance, and health sectors.
During the year, IMA Italia Assistance handled 840,000 calls and managed 385,000 assistance cases, ensuring 24/7 operational service thanks to a team of over 300 employees. This performance comes against a backdrop of dynamic international growth, with the IMA Group recording consolidated revenue of €1,112 million (up 7% compared to 2024), 4.1 million cases managed, and over 6,300 employees.
The Group’s growth in Italy was primarily driven by the travel insurance sector, whose revenue rose from €21.4 million in 2024 to over €42.5 million in 2025, representing a 99% increase. This performance further strengthens the balance of the Group’s business portfolio. Travel’s share of revenue thus rose from 24% to 37%.
The year 2025 marks a significant acceleration for us: we have built on the momentum we’ve gained in recent years by focusing on operational efficiency, digital innovation, and expanding our product offerings, particularly in travel insurance. These results confirm the strength of our business model and our ability to respond quickly to market changes, even in complex environments. We will continue to invest in technology, service quality, and new products to further strengthen our position in Italy.
Technology partnerships and new insurance coverage
IMA Italia Assistance looks to the future with a long-standing commitment to sustainable mobility and road safety. With the launch of the SoSafe and MoveIMA apps — dedicated to automobiles and bicycles, respectively — IMA combines assistance with digital innovation by integrating eCall features designed to enhance travel safety and protect the lives of both drivers and cyclists.
In the Travel sector, IMA has introduced significant product innovations, notably the launch of the Vip Lounge parametric insurance in collaboration with a major player in B2C travel insurance distribution. Significant developments have also taken place with Imaway travel insurance, which has been enhanced in terms of coverage limits, flexibility, and user experience, thanks to smart contact methods that enable data transmission via the Internet to the assistance center.
