Revolte announces €4 million in funding to accelerate its development with the support of Macif, Groupe IMA and BPI
Revolte, a pioneer in electric and hybrid vehicle repairs, is taking a new step forward in developing its network of Garages Branchés.
Carquefou, January 2025 – Revolte, the innovative French start-up specialising in the repair and maintenance of electric and hybrid vehicles, today announced a Series A fundraising round, bringing together Macif and the IMA Group as lead investors alongside family offices, business angels and automotive professionals, with renewed support from BPI.
Revolte, pioneer in electrical repairs and training
Since launching its Carquefou workshop in October 2022, Revolte has carried out more than 3,000 repairs (electronic, hybrid and electric) in its workshops and trained more than 350 automotive professionals, two profitable business units for the young company.
Batteries, chargers, motors, computers: the Revolte team analyses systems, diagnoses faults, develops solutions and associated documentation to reduce the cost of replacing parts by 20 to 90% depending on the situation, compared to new parts usually available on the market.
Les Garages Branchés: the platform to help professionals switch to electric vehicles
Revolte has developed a subscription-based platform for garage owners to support them in their transition to electric vehicles. It includes tutorials, technical documentation, discounts on equipment and subcontracting, access to Revolte experts, and more. In just a few months, 300 garages have already pre-registered, including around 15 subscribers throughout France.
What about tomorrow?
This fundraising enables Revolte to:
- Open a third workshop in the Paris region, in Thiais, to increase its repair capacity (batteries, motors, chargers) and training capacity (electric, hybrid, complex diagnostics, electronics);
- Continue its investment in research and development to improve repairs and extend the life of electric vehicles.
- Roll out the Garages Branchés offer to hundreds of garages throughout France;
- Promote the repairability of traction battery vehicles through various tools (repairability index, cost observatory, etc.).

Comments Alexis Marcadet, CEO of Revolte.
"This investment and support for the impact start-up Revolte represents a dual challenge for Macif, both economic and ecological. As the leading motor insurer and in line with our strategic plan, we have a responsibility to contribute to the decarbonisation of the automotive sector. Partnering with Revolte, a player in the reuse and repair of electric vehicles, allows us to accelerate the ecological transition of this sector in a concrete way. Beyond the investment, we are supporting a cause: the sustainability of electric vehicles and the fight against planned obsolescence. These are issues that resonate deeply with Macif's commitments and values"
Comments Julien Hue, Director of Property and Casualty Insurance at Macif.
"This acquisition is fully in line with our strategy. As the leader in electric vehicle assistance in France, Revolte strengthens our expertise in remote breakdown assistance and our ability to train and refer customers to specialist garages, enabling us to better serve our beneficiaries. This operation demonstrates, once again, our desire to offer assistance solutions that promote the development of carbon-free mobility"
