Fires in France and Spain: the IMA Group is standing by its policyholders
For several days now, major fires have been affecting several regions in France as well as the Madrid region in Spain. In response to this situation, the IMA Group’s teams have been mobilised to support policyholders and organise the necessary assistance.
Since 23 July, more than 1,500 cases have been opened by the IMA Group’s support teams, more than half of which were opened during the weekend of 25 and 26 July alone. Whether it’s emergency rehousing, organising travel arrangements or providing support to those directly affected by the evacuations, the teams are coordinating the care of policyholders from the Group’s insurance partners in real time.
A strengthened organisational structure for exceptional circumstances
As France’s leading assistance provider, the IMA Group assists one person every 7 seconds. To deal with fires, extreme weather events or periods of high demand, the Group draws on its organisational structure, which is designed for crisis management, anticipating peaks in demand and ensuring continuity of service for policyholders.
Throughout the year, the 6,500 employees of the IMA Group work hard to provide policyholders with practical, personalised and effective solutions when they face unforeseen circumstances whilst travelling, at home or in their daily lives. This team is supplemented each summer by several hundred seasonal staff, enabling the Group to boost its capacity to handle cases and respond effectively to emergencies.
This organisation also relies on a nationwide network of partners active across the country. Hoteliers, convenience stores, taxi companies, transport providers and housing professionals contribute every day to the rapid implementation of solutions for emergency rehousing, transport and support for policyholders, including in the areas most affected by the fires.
Being there when it matters most is at the very heart of the IMA Group’s DNA. Our job is to stand by our policyholders when they need us, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, come rain or shine. When fires strike, our teams spring into action to listen, reassure, guide, rehouse and provide the most appropriate support to those affected. This response is also made possible by the commitment of our partners on the ground, who play a vital role in supporting policyholders and maintaining continuity of service, even when they themselves are facing the consequences of these events.
