Travel Assistance (including the medical assistance component and services for car manufacturers) rose by 7%. This increase is mainly due to:
- higher activity levels for its shareholders in France and abroad,
- the rebound in tourism following the Covid years, as reflected by a 14% rise in medical assistance and growth in Travel Insurance.
Activity for car manufacturers grew by 5.2%, further strengthening the Group’s position as market leader in this segment.
By continuing to develop its electric vehicle assistance business (nearly 50% of the French market) and bicycle assistance in France and Italy, the Group is also confirming its ambition to support the growth of carbon-free mobility.
The number of cases opened in Home Assistance rose by 10.2%. In a context of restructuring in the French market (reform of supplementary social protection for local civil service employees, mergers between players, etc.), the Group is maintaining its position as a leader.
between players, etc.), the Group is maintaining its position as a leader. Home Assistance was down 7% compared with 2023, with 765,885 cases handled, due to fewer climatic events in 2024
A growth model that focuses on local employment
Building on its growth and profitability, the Group recruited 1,929 people in 2024, including 647 on permanent contracts.
New operational sites were opened, notably in Limoges, creating 35 permanent jobs in 2024.
2) Ever more dynamic international development, confirming its partnership and business diversification strategy
With revenue of €146 million (up 20% compared with 2023), the growth of the international entities confirms the relevance of the IMA model, which is based on two pillars:
- the establishment of local strategic partnerships with insurers that share IMA's values,
and the development of Travel Insurance.
In Italy, ITAS MUTUA, the oldest Italian insurance company covering more than 900,000 beneficiaries, has become IMA Italia's new strategic partner by acquiring 10% of its share capital.
In the Benelux countries, the consolidation of operations with local shareholder partners (Groupe P&V, Ethias) resulted in a 16% increase in revenue. As in 2023, the entity posted the best NPS1 in the assistance market in Belgium and Luxembourg.
IMA Ibérica had a historic year, with a 14% increase in revenue and the preparation of a new strategic partnership with two local players, Lagun Aro and Pelayo, which will be launched in 2025.
In Morocco, Wafa IMA Assistance established itself as the second largest player in the assistance market, achieving a market share of over 20% in 2024, while continuing its development in Africa. The IMA Group company also saw its expertise recognised with the ‘Customer Service of the Year 2025’ award.
Overall, the contribution of international subsidiaries to commercial development represented revenue of €28 million, or nearly 50% of the Group's total commercial activities.
1 NPS: Net Promoter Score. This tool measures the percentage of customers likely to recommend a company, product or service to a friend or family member.
3) Innovation and investment in responsible assistance
In 2024, the Group accelerated its projects to respond to the rise of artificial intelligence and consolidate its strategic investments in start-ups to build the assistance of tomorrow around three priorities:
- strengthening its operational efficiency,
- improving the experience of its beneficiaries,
- and promoting carbon-free mobility.
Responsible use of AI and targeted digitisation for the benefit of beneficiaries and employees
Following the initial initiatives in Italy, AI applications in the assistance sector have been rolled out in France. Considered a complement to assistance officers, they offer new services such as real-time multilingual translation and a VoiceBot “Made in IMA”.
This same approach has guided the achievements of IMATECH, an IMA Group company and leader in French legal platforms, in the use of AI. “ELOÏSE”, its legal AI also developed in-house, has been supporting lawyers for a year.
In addition, taking advantage of its technological choices, IMA Protect, a company specialising in remote surveillance and remote assistance, has launched a new offer called “La Télésurveillance PLUS+”. This gives subscribers the option of linking their alarm system to connected devices. As the first remote surveillance company to offer this service, IMA Protect is not only enhancing its customers' security, but also helping them to control their energy consumption and budget. These strategic priorities will support IMA Protect's development plan.
Strategic equity investments in start-ups promoting optimised and sustainable mobility
By investing in start-ups that complement its activities and resources, the IMA Group is strengthening its economic and social performance trajectory. This is illustrated by three major initiatives in the field of mobility.
The IMA Group, a shareholder since 2021 in Carbookr, a start-up specialising in car rental for professionals, strengthened its capital commitment in 2024.
Similarly, the Group increased its equity stake in the start-up The Treep, in which it has been a shareholder since 2022. The Treep’s technical solutions have notably helped expand the use of rail travel in its assistance operations in France, and soon across Europe. A concrete way of contributing to the development of more sustainable mobility in the course of its business activities. In 2024, the share of train tickets booked as part of assistance operations rose by nearly 60%.
Finally, after a preparatory phase in 2024, the IMA Group, alongside MACIF, will take part in 2025 in a fundraising campaign organised by Revolte, a pioneer in the repair of electric and hybrid vehicles, to support the development of its “Garages Branchés” network. This new step completes IMA's strategy of promoting the transformation of mobility.
Our Group is growing, with results ahead of the trajectory initially set. IMA is successfully combining economic performance with social performance, thereby strengthening the foundations of sustainable and responsible assistance.
